There is growing awareness that languages play a vital role in development, in ensuring cultural diversity and intercultural dialogue, but also in attaining quality education for all and strengthening cooperation, in building inclusive knowledge societies and preserving cultural heritage.

As in terms of education, languages matter due to the increasing population of different cultures in first world countries. Multilingualism , is not only the ability to understand what others are saying in a certain language; but, to read, write, and also comprehend slangs or expressions, which have been established as a part of someone else's culture.

Scientific studies have succesfully shown that, bilingual or multilingual people, are better at making decisions, have a boost of thinking, and are even 10 times better at multi-skill tasks than those who just speak one language.
